Setting up a Fanvil speaker, intercom, or door phone and can't find its IP address? You can use Fanvil Device Manager to scan your network, or on certain models, simply press a button on the device to hear its IP address.
We've put together the steps for some common Fanvil models, along with a few things to check if your device isn't showing up on the network.
Method 1: Find Your Fanvil Device Using Device Manager
If you have several Fanvil devices on the network, this is probably the easiest place to start.
- Download Fanvil Device Manager from Fanvil's official website.
- Connect your computer and Fanvil device to the same local network.
- Open Device Manager and click Rescan.
- Find your device in the results. You should see its IP address, model number, and MAC address.
What if they're on different subnets? Device Manager also supports cross-subnet scanning. If you know the target subnet, enter it in the scanner (for example, 172.16.16.0/24) and click Rescan. Network settings and routing may affect whether the device can be discovered.

Method 2: Find the IP Address Directly from Your Device
Some Fanvil devices can announce their IP address without using a scanner. The steps depend on your model.
Fanvil A212 Wall-Mounted Speaker
- Power on the speaker and allow approximately 30 seconds for startup.
- Press and hold the Reset button for about 3 seconds until you hear rapid beeping.
- Release the button, then press it once briefly while the speaker is still beeping.
- The speaker will announce its current IP address.
Important: Don't continue holding the Reset button, as holding it for 10 seconds will factory-reset the speaker. Pressing Reset three times while it is rapidly beeping will change the network mode instead of simply announcing the IP address.

For other Fanvil speakers, including the A201, A233, and A513W, you can use Device Manager to locate the IP address.

- Press and hold the Speed Dial / Call / DSS button for about 3 seconds until you hear a beep or prompt tone.
- Release the button and press it once briefly within 5 seconds.
- The device will announce its IP address.
The button name and location vary by model. For the i63, use the first Speed Dial button. On the i64, use the upper-right button.
Tip: Use one brief press after the initial hold. On supported models, pressing three times can switch the network mode rather than simply announce the IP address.

What If Your Fanvil Device Still Doesn't Show Up?
Before resetting anything, check a few basics:
- Power and network connection: Make sure the device is powered on and the Ethernet cable is connected. If it uses PoE, check that the switch or injector supplies the required power.
- Correct network: Check that your computer and device are on the same local network, or that you're scanning the correct subnet.
- DHCP: Check your router or DHCP server's connected-device list. The device may already have an assigned IP address.
- Device Manager: Try Rescan again after the device has fully started.
Still can't find the IP address? Some Fanvil models use 192.168.1.128 as their default static IP address. If you're setting up a device without DHCP, check its manual to see whether this applies to your model.
Sometimes, people setting up Fanvil devices find that the equipment is connected to the network but doesn't show up in their phone system's provisioning list. That doesn't necessarily mean the device has a network problem. It's worth checking whether it has an IP address before digging into the phone system settings.
Found the IP Address? Here's What's Next
Once you have the IP address, enter it into a web browser on a computer that can reach the device's network. You should be able to access the Fanvil web management interface, where you can configure its settings.
You'll still need the appropriate administrator credentials to log in.
