The Algo 1211 Single Button is a smart-relay accessory that adds one physical call or alert button to a compatible Algo IP endpoint you already have. Facilities and IT teams use it when a speaker, strobe, paging adapter, or similar Algo host is nearby and they do not want another network drop or PoE port. Short press and long-press give two configurable actions. The host endpoint powers the button, watches the wiring, and runs SIP, multicast, or API workflows.

That is the whole point versus the 8211 IP Single Button, which needs its own PoE drop and costs more because it is a standalone SIP device. Does the Algo 1211 work without another Algo device?
No. The 1211 is only a smart-relay accessory. It must connect to the Relay Input of a compatible Algo IP endpoint running firmware v5.7 or later. If the wall has Ethernet and no host speaker or adapter nearby, look at the Algo 8211 IP Single Button instead.
What happens when someone presses the button?
The host endpoint runs the action you assigned. Algo documents press and long-press separately.
