Description
The Grandstream GRP2601LW is a 2-line Essential Lite SIP desk phone with single-band 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 6 for our customers who need a wired-or-wireless voice endpoint when a dedicated Ethernet drop is inconvenient. It supports 2 SIP accounts, 5-way audio conferencing, a 2.41-inch LCD, Noise Shield with AI noise reduction, dual 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports, an included universal power supply, and GDMS cloud management.
Choose the GRP2601LW when the desk needs onboard Wi-Fi 6 at 2.4 GHz. If each station has Ethernet and AC power but no PoE requirement, use the GRP2601L. If your switches supply PoE and you want power over the LAN port, look at the GRP2601LP.
The Telecom Spot Take
Best for IT and facilities teams placing basic desk phones where cabling a new Ethernet jack is harder than joining an existing 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. The LW keeps the Essential Lite feature set—including GDMS or TR-069 provisioning—while adding Wi-Fi 6 (802.11b/g/n/ax) with WPA3 options. It is not ideal when you need integrated PoE instead of Wi-Fi (use GRP2601LP) or when every desk already has wired Ethernet and a wall outlet (use GRP2601L).
Key Features
- Single-band 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 6 — 802.11b/g/n/ax onboard so the phone can join a 2.4 GHz wireless LAN without a dedicated Ethernet drop at the desk.
- Wi-Fi security options — WEP, WPA/WPA2 (Personal/Enterprise), and WPA3 (Personal/Enterprise) per Grandstream’s datasheet.
- 2 SIP accounts / 2 lines — A primary business line plus a second account on an Essential Lite footprint.
- 5-way audio conferencing — Small multi-party calls from the desk phone for basic collaboration.
- Noise Shield + AI noise reduction — Helps cut ambient and sudden background noise on calls.
- GS-FEC voice resilience — Specified for up to 70% audio packet-loss resistance on unstable links.
- Dual 10/100 Mbps ports (LAN + PC) — Wired Ethernet remains available when a jack is present; PoE is N/A on the LW.
- Included universal power supply — 100–240 V AC input, 5 V DC / 600 mA output; package includes the PSU and a network cable.
- EHS headset jack — RJ9 headset port with Electronic Hook Switch compatibility for Plantronics, Jabra, Sennheiser and more.
- GDMS / TR-069 provisioning — Centralized configuration and firmware upgrades for high-volume rollouts.
- Enterprise security stack — Secure boot, TLS 1.3, HTTPS admin, SRTP/DTLS-SRTP options, and WireGuard VPN support.
- 2.41" (132×48) LCD with 4 soft keys — Context-sensitive softkeys plus dedicated transfer, headset, mute, speaker, and volume keys.
