Choose this SKU when the AP lives outside and copper may not reach the pole. You get Wi-Fi 7 plus Xtra Range 2.0 on 5 GHz, IP67, and 512 clients. The indoor twin is the GWN7670E. Is this the indoor GWN7670E in a plastic shell?
No. Same Wi-Fi 7 BE3600 class and the same 5 GHz 3×3:2 plus Xtra Range 2.0 idea, but this SKU adds IP67, wall/pole hardware, a 350-meter outdoor coverage figure, and an SFP port. Do not hang an indoor GWN7670E outside.
Do I need fiber to use it?
No. Power and data can ride the 2.5 GbE RJ45 port with PoE+. Use the SFP port when the pole is far from the switch closet. Single-mode fiber is listed up to 20 km. The SFP module itself is not listed as in-box, so order the optic that matches your plant.
What power does it need?
IEEE 802.3at PoE+. Peak draw is 16 W. Plan a PoE+ switch port or injector. An 802.3af Class 0 drop is not the right feed for this model.
How many devices can join one AP?
512 concurrent Wi-Fi clients. That is the published ceiling. Real throughput per client still depends on band, client radios, and how busy the air is.
How do we manage a stack of these?
One AP can run a local controller for up to 50 GWN APs. Grow past that with free GDMS Networking in the cloud or GWN Manager on a server you own. There is also a GDMS phone app for status checks.
Will 350 meters hold up behind racking or trees?
Grandstream lists up to 350 meters / 1,148 feet and notes that coverage varies by environment. Use that number for site planning, then survey. Metal, foliage, and neighboring Wi-Fi all cut the usable cell.
