The Poly RD-1 Ring Detector Electronic Hook Switch (85R71AA) provides remote call-answer capability for Poly wireless headsets connected to ShoreTel and Toshiba desk phones. The RD-1 detects the incoming ring signal on the phone line and triggers the headset base to alert the user, enabling hands-free auto-answer when used in combination with compatible Poly wireless headset systems. It is the appropriate EHS solution for deployments where other EHS cables don't cover ShoreTel or Toshiba environments.
