Description
The Poly ATA 402 (8F3H5AA#ABA) is a two-port FXS analog telephone adapter that connects up to two analog phones or fax machines to a SIP-based VoIP network from a single unit. Open SIP compatibility covers every major VoIP platform, T.38 supports fax-over-IP, and both the USB-A port and Ethernet port extend connectivity options for small office deployments. A power supply is included and Poly PDMS-SP cloud management enables remote provisioning without on-site configuration visits.
The Telecom Spot Take
The ATA 402 is the two-port version of the ATA 400 — two analog devices per unit rather than one. In small offices or branch locations where two analog devices need to be migrated (a main line and a fax, for example), the 402 reduces the hardware count and cable runs by half compared to deploying two ATA 400 units. The USB-A port on the 402 provides additional connectivity flexibility for storage or media applications. For single-device migrations, the ATA 400 is the more economical choice.
