The V-1010C fills the coverage gap that an 8-inch ceiling speaker over-serves — in small rooms, closet offices, server rooms, and compact retail spaces, a 4-inch speaker provides the right level of audio coverage without the excessive output, ceiling cut size, and visual prominence of a larger driver. The 4-inch cutout is smaller than the 8-inch rough-in that standard ceiling speakers require, which matters in rooms with limited ceiling real estate, existing conduit and HVAC penetrations near the ideal speaker location, or ceiling materials where a smaller cut is structurally preferable.
