The V-1094A solves the distribution problem in large paging systems where the page port on the telephone system or paging controller does not have the drive capacity to reach speakers in a distant building, floor, or wing without significant signal degradation. By pre-amplifying the low-level page port output and re-driving it at a higher level, the V-1094A allows the paging signal to reach remote speaker zones that would otherwise be too far from the source to receive a clean signal. The 600-ohm output impedance matches the standard page port impedance of commercial paging and telephone equipment, allowing direct connection without impedance mismatch issues. The isolation function keeps the page port electrically separate from the speaker line, preventing loading effects that would degrade audio quality at both the source and the destination. Each V-1094A expander can serve up to 150 one-way speakers, and multiple units can be used in parallel to cover even larger speaker populations. At 1.1 lbs and 4.44 in. H × 2.75 in. W × 2.88 in. D, it is compact enough to mount in equipment closets alongside existing paging hardware.
