The AudioCodes M800B/SFP-FE-BX10-U is the upstream Fast Ethernet BiDi SFP transceiver for the Mediant 800B SBC gateway. Operating at 100Mbps over a single fiber strand using wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM), it transmits at 1310nm and receives at 1550nm — the upstream direction, complementary to the M800B/SFP-FE-BX10-D. Used together, these two modules create a complete full-duplex 100Mbps Fast Ethernet link over a single fiber strand at up to 10km distance.

The BX10-U is the upstream counterpart to the BX10-D — you always need one of each to complete a bidirectional link over a single fiber. One end of the fiber run connects to the D module (1550nm TX), and the other end connects to the U module (1310nm TX), allowing traffic to flow in both directions simultaneously over a single strand. For Mediant 800B deployments where fiber runs are limited or single-strand infrastructure is already in place, this pair provides a cost-effective fiber WAN connection without requiring dual fiber.
