The Valcom VIP-172AL-ST is a flush-mount stainless steel IP door intercom that connects to SIP-based telephone systems and Valcom IP gateways over a standard Ethernet cable, enabling two-way voice communication at entryways without dedicated intercom wiring. The built-in long-line extender supports cable runs up to 300 meters (984 feet), allowing the unit to be installed far from the nearest network switch without signal degradation. A call button triggers any SIP address or Valcom gateway, automatic VOX talkback activates hands-free conversation, and an integrated relay controls door or gate hardware.
