Description
Give residents or card holders multiple ways into your building — the Viking K-1270 is a 12-button apartment entry phone with a built-in Wiegand proximity card reader and door strike relay, offering both button-press calling and contactless card access in one analog telephone line-powered unit.
Visitors press the call button for the resident's unit, and the resident's phone rings. The resident presses a touch-tone key to release the door. Alternatively, authorized card holders can tap a proximity card for instant access without interaction. The built-in door strike relay fires on either a valid card read or a touch-tone command. Telephone line powered — no separate power supply required. Vandal-resistant stainless steel construction for high-traffic locations.
Our Expert Take: The K-1270 adds proximity card access to the K-1200 12-button platform — ideal for properties where residents want card-tap entry convenience alongside the standard call button for visitors. For VoIP networks, the K-1270-IP is the direct upgrade. For weather-exposed locations, the K-1270-EWP adds EWP protection.
