The SLP-4 connects in series with a single analog phone line and adds whole-house or small-office paging, phone-to-phone intercom, music on hold, and selectable loud ringing — all through the same speakers already installed for multi-zone music distribution. Its built-in 2-watt amplifier can drive up to three 8-ohm or sixteen 45-ohm speakers, and a stereo line-level pre-amp input keeps your background music flowing until a page or doorbell pushes through. Four doorbell switch inputs let visitors trigger one of eight CD-quality factory sounds — Westminster bells, chimes, alert tones, a barking dog, and more — or you can load your own custom audio from a PC via the USB port. Background music mutes automatically during any page or chime, then resumes seamlessly.
