Description
The Viking VE-6X7-PNL-NR is a black powder-coated steel surface-mount enclosure with a blank aluminum panel for Viking products with 5.5" × 6.5" faceplates, providing a customizable mounting surface for access control hardware in sheltered outdoor locations.
The included blank aluminum panel accepts card readers, keypads, push buttons, or other custom hardware without requiring custom fabrication. The black powder-coated steel enclosure resists vandalism and weather exposure and mounts to walls, posts, single or double gang boxes, or Viking gooseneck pedestals. The NR (no rain guard) configuration is for covered or sheltered installations where overhead rain protection is provided by the mounting environment.
Our Expert Take: The 6x7 panel variant gives you the same customizable panel benefits as the 5x5 versions but fits the larger 5.5" × 6.5" faceplate products. If your installation is fully exposed to overhead rain, add a rain guard or select a version that includes one.
