Description
Sharing a single phone line between your entry phone and indoor telephones shouldn't mean missing visitor calls — the Viking C-200 solves that problem cleanly and simply.
The C-200 lets single line telephones or a telephone system share one phone line with a Viking entry phone. When a visitor presses the call button, tenants can answer and hold a two-way conversation right from their existing phone. If the line is already in use when a visitor calls, the C-200 automatically delivers a Call Waiting tone so no one gets ignored. Tenants can also call out to the entry phone themselves for monitoring purposes, giving you added control over who's at the door even before they press a button.
Auxiliary contacts are built in to trigger a doorbell, activate a camera, turn on lights, or control other devices — making this a flexible fit for small apartment buildings, offices, or residential entry setups where simplicity is the priority.
Our Expert Take: The C-200 is a straightforward, no-fuss solution when all you need is basic line sharing with Call Waiting between a single entry phone and your existing phones. If your setup requires more advanced features like a door strike relay, multiple entry phones with caller ID, or keyless entry, Viking's C-2000B is the natural upgrade path and worth the look before you commit.
