Description
Need a SIP-compatible entry phone with live video so you can see who's at the door before you answer? The Viking K-1705-IP combines a vandal-resistant stainless steel keypad entry phone with a built-in analog color video camera and SIP VoIP connectivity, all powered by PoE.
The heavy-duty 14-gauge stainless steel faceplate, metal keypad, stainless steel call button, and T-10 Torx security screws are built for high-traffic, high-abuse installations. The built-in color camera transmits video over a single CAT5E cable alongside audio, with tilt and swivel adjustment and an impact-resistant lens for a clear, wide-angle view. VoIP audio detection handles calls without push-to-talk, and two SPDT 2-amp relay contacts control door strikes or gates. PoE powers the entire unit from your existing network infrastructure.
Our Expert Take: The K-1705-IP adds video capability to the K-1700-IP keypad platform — a solid choice when the security or management team needs to visually verify visitors before granting keypad access. For weather-exposed locations, the K-1705-IP-EWP adds IP66 protection. If proximity card access is needed alongside video, look at the K-1775-IP.
