Description
When your SIP video entry phone needs to handle harsh weather on top of vandalism resistance, the Viking K-1705-IP-EWP is the answer — a stainless steel VoIP keypad entry phone with built-in color video and Enhanced Weather Protection designed to meet IP66 ingress protection standards.
PoE powers the unit from a single network cable. The built-in color camera transmits audio and video over CAT5E with tilt/swivel adjustment and an impact-resistant lens. EWP construction adds sealed gaskets, gel-filled connectors, Mylar speaker, self-draining mic mount, and a push button switch internally sealed per IP67. The 14-gauge 316 stainless steel faceplate, heavy-duty metal keypad, stainless steel call button, and T-10 Torx security screws provide serious vandal resistance. Two SPDT 2-amp relay contacts control door strikes or gates.
Our Expert Take: The K-1705-IP-EWP is the most weather-protected stainless video keypad entry phone in the K-1705 family. It's the right choice when the installation is exposed to direct weather and video verification is required alongside keypad access. For proximity card reader integration, look at the K-1775-IP-EWP.
