Description
The Viking E-1600-20-IP is a SIP VoIP ADA compliant emergency phone designed to provide fast, reliable handsfree communication for VoIP phone systems with PoE — no analog phone lines required. It connects to your existing network, is powered by PoE, and can be programmed from any touch-tone phone or PC on the same LAN.
Like the analog E-1600A series, it dials up to 5 programmable emergency numbers and cycles through backups on busy or no-answer. The built-in digital voice announcer broadcasts location identification automatically. Non-volatile memory retains all settings through power interruptions. ADA compliant with Call Connected LED, Grade 2 Braille label, and location ID announcements.
Our Expert Take: The VoIP E-1600 series is the right choice when your building's phone infrastructure has moved to SIP/VoIP and you need ADA-compliant emergency phones that integrate with it natively — without running analog lines to every elevator or emergency station. PoE powered keeps wiring to a single CAT5E run.
