When a visitor presses the call button, the W1000-EWP generates a standard ring cadence on your phone line, and anyone inside simply picks up the phone of their choice to have a clear two-way conversation. The unit installs on the unused telephone line input of nearly any phone system, or it can share an existing residential line. For access control, pair it with Viking's C-1000B, RC-2A, or RC-3 controller to add electronic door strike or CCTV camera operation. The compact design fits a standard 4x4 electrical box for a clean flush mount installation, and the optional VE-5x5 adapter lets you surface mount it or attach it to a gooseneck post.
The EWP version sets itself apart from the standard W-1000 with a full suite of weatherproofing upgrades: rubber gaskets and boots, closed-cell foam gasketing, hand-soldered silicon-sealed connections, anti-corrosive gel-filled butt connectors, and urethane-encapsulated circuit boards with internally sealed, field-adjustable trim pots and DIP switches.
