If weak or distorted ringing signals are causing missed calls across your analog extensions, the Viking RG-212 reshapes and amplifies ringing power for up to 12 lines at once — no rewiring required.
The RG-212 takes problematic square wave ring signals from analog PABX extensions, FXS ports, IP phone system analog ports, or other telecom devices and converts them into a clean true sine wave output. Each line gets boosted to 4 REN, enough to ring four 1 REN or eight 0.5 REN telephones per line. Importantly, it duplicates the incoming ring cadence so custom and distinctive ringing features stay intact, and normal line operation — including caller ID, call waiting, hookswitch flash, and CPC signaling — is completely unaffected.
The RG-212 is a practical fit for office phone systems, hospitality environments, and any facility running an IP or analog PABX where ringing reliability across multiple extensions matters.
