If you need to remotely unlock a door, reset equipment, or control a device from any standard phone, the Viking RC-2A gives you simple, secure relay control triggered by nothing more than a touch tone call.
The RC-2A installs locally in parallel on any analog communications path — analog CO lines, PABX/KSU stations, or alongside Viking's W-Series Doorboxes — passively monitoring for touch tone commands without interrupting normal phone operation. For off-premise use, it answers incoming calls after a selectable ring delay and waits for your programmable access code before allowing any relay activation. Once authenticated, you can trigger the built-in SPDT relay to control door strikes, gates, lighting, security systems, HVAC equipment, pumps, fans, or even remotely reset a PABX or KSU. After 60 seconds, the unit automatically disconnects and returns to secure mode, keeping unauthorized access out.
Screw terminal connections and onboard DIP switch programming make installation fast and straightforward, and the universal 12–24VAC/DC power input means you can run multiple units from a single power adapter.
