The Viking VE-5X5-PNL-NR is a black powder-coated steel surface-mount enclosure with a blank aluminum panel, designed for Viking flush-mount products and access control equipment that needs a customizable mounting surface in sheltered outdoor locations.
The included blank aluminum panel gives you a ready-to-customize mounting surface for card readers, keypads, push buttons, or other hardware — without having to fabricate a custom backplate. The enclosure mounts to walls, posts, single or double gang boxes, or Viking gooseneck pedestals. The NR (no rain guard) configuration is for covered or sheltered installations where overhead rain protection is provided by the mounting location itself.
