Need a surface mount doorbox with strong speaker output and push-to-talk communication for a noisy entry point? The Viking W-2000A delivers high-output handsfree audio at your door or gate, connecting directly to any analog phone line or KSU station port without additional wiring.
The high-output speaker amplifier and microphone volume controls let you tune audio levels for the environment. A built-in 24V talk battery and 20Hz ring generator (up to 3.0 REN) handle ring signaling without a separate power supply. Selectable ring counts (2, 3, 10, or 30) and an operating range of -15°F to 130°F make it adaptable for a wide range of installations. Enhanced Weather Protection version (W-2000A-EWP) available as a special order.
Our Expert Take: The W-2000A is functionally similar to the W-1000 but in a different form factor — choose based on your mounting needs and aesthetic preference. For video capability, the W-3005 adds a color camera. For VoIP systems, the E-20-IP or E-30-IP are the right direction.
