3CX BASIC is the straightforward commercial edition for businesses that want a modern, reliable phone system without paying for contact center, CRM, advanced integration, or AI features they may not need. It keeps the core 3CX calling experience along with useful everyday features such as intercom and paging, BLFs, user sync, SSO, fax, and basic reporting.
3CX BASIC is sold as an annual renewable license. Commercial 3CX licensing is priced per system based on the edition and simultaneous-call capacity you choose, rather than charging a separate software license for every user.
Simultaneous calls, or SC, are the number of active internal and external calls taking place at the same time. Each SC level also has recommended and maximum user/extension ranges, so both your total number of users and your busiest call periods matter when selecting a license.

What BASIC Does Not Include
BASIC is intentionally focused on core telephony. Features such as call queues, CRM integrations, call recording, bridges between 3CX systems, hot desking, Call Flow Designer, advanced APIs/data connectors, and AI features require PRO or AI depending on the feature.
Choose How to Deploy 3CX BASIC
3CX BASIC supports Hosted by 3CX, self-hosted/private-cloud, and on-premise deployment. Hosted by 3CX is currently available for BASIC systems at 16SC and above. Hosting is separate from the software license itself, and availability and pricing are subject to current 3CX terms.
